Castle Craig is the highpoint both literally and figuratively of Hubbard Park, it stands on a rock outcropping on East Peak overlooking the rest of Hubbard Park and on clear days you can easily see neighboring states. The castle itself is 32 feet high on the ledge that has an elevation of 976 feet above sea-level for an observation height of 1008 at the top. The people of Meriden have been blessed for over a century with this park due to the gift and foresight of Walter Hubbard.
